Red Flags for Dysphagia in Infants - Patient/Caregiver Handout
Feeding is a social bonding experience between caregivers and infants. In the first year of their life, infants (newborn to 1 years old) depend on good nutrition to thrive. When your child has trouble feeding it can be scary and stressful. Knowing the possible signs of a swallowing disorder (dysphagia - dys-FAY-juh) can help caregivers get needed medical support.
This handout is not intended to replace medical supervision. For any questions about your child eating safely, please refer to a speech-language pathologist for guidance.
As always, Dysphagia Outreach Project is 100% volunteer run and 100% of the proceeds of this purchase goes to support our cause by providing financial support for operations, shipping, and purchasing supplies for our recipients.
